Pet care experience
Having grown up on a farm, I've cared for a variety of animals since a young age. Dogs, cats, goats, chickens, you name it. I'm very familiar with the needs of both large and small breed dogs - including senior and special needs dogs - and love to both exercise and play with them :) I love to walk, stretch, and am happy to spend all day in the backyard if that's what your dog enjoys. I'm also confident in my ability to care for cats, including those that require more patience - because I have one that needs just that!

Allison house sat for us for two weeks. One of our dogs is very friendly but our other dog is a rescue that doesn’t warm up quickly to new people. Allison developed trust with both dogs very quickly. We very happy with the care they received and recommend Allison!

I have experience with a variety of training including clicker, obedience, and positive reinforcement - learning new tricks is always fun! ! I’ve also administered medication to animals of all ages and sizes.

Please let me know about medications and any behaviors that require special attention (resource guarding, for example) so that I can arrive prepared :) If your dog walks with anything other than a collar/harness and leash (like a muzzle or specialized leash), I would appreciate a demonstration on how to put them on the dog.
A typical day
I enjoy walking and jogging along the beach and have an enclosed field near my home that’s perfect for playing fetch, tag and other games with dogs. After walks, I’m happy to cuddle up with your dog to watch a movie or read a book.

Availability
I am always available weekdays before 7AM for a long morning walk and after PM for a fun play session. And, I am totally available on weekends and weeknights for overnight sitting.
