Pet care experience
Update! I’m now located in Tennessee and looking to rebuild my network of furry friends. :) I've had dogs my entire life - 13 different dogs ranging from Toy Poodles to Fila Brasileiros. I am calm and patient and understand that no two dogs are alike. I personally have an easily excitable, 50lb dog, so I always try to be one step ahead of any distractions on walks. Dog walking/sitting is my way to get the opportunity to be around more pups while helping out their parents as well. Win-win!
Reviews
Allison always does a fantastic job. Easy to work with and is good to our dog.
I literally couldn't recommend Allison enough. I had an unexpected, stressful trip to go on and she was readily available. She was so kind during our meet and greet. She volunteers at the animal shelter, which is a GREEN FLAG. At one point, she messaged me and told me my cat was out of food- I forgot to tell her where it was! I replied over an hour later and she was still at my house and fed my sweet cat. I was surprised and beyond grateful she was still there. She went above and beyond while taking care of my sweet pets. I was terrified to leave my babies with someone, but I absolutely had to at last minute. Allison will be the first person I'll ask to watch them (and probably the only, she was the best 😭❤️)
Allison is very communicative and makes sure to take plenty of photos of my dog for me. I very much appreciate her help!
Allison took great care of our giant schnauzer! Arrived at scheduled time and played with our big boy out in the yard. Highly recommend Allison for all your pet care needs.

Tell me everything - you won't scare me off. Until proven otherwise, I treat all dogs as if they are reactive to outside stimuli - I work hard to stay one step ahead of any other dogs in the area, squirrels, kids, cats, whatever it may be. Having a very excitable dog myself, I know that staying alert and being an advocate for the dog means a more enjoyable walk for everyone. Does your dog pull on the leash - no problem. Do they wait until the very last minute of the walk to go to the bathroom - good to know! Do they wear shoes (but also HATE wearing their shoes?) same for my dog :) Are they allergic to bees but can't help themselves when one flies by? Any info is good info, and I can't wait to meet your pup.
A typical day
I learned early on that mentally AND physically tiring out a dog is the best way to go. I love doing "find it" games where they need to sniff out treats or toys, going on long walks with interesting terrain that we can stand on, go under, sniff, etc. (depending on the dog), and general work on walking politely on a leash (although some dogs just want to play and that's alright too!). My senior dog was a plot hound mix, and his favorite activity in the last few years was using his nose to find hidden treats. He seemed so proud every time he found one!
