Pet care experience
NOTE: At this time, my boarding service is reserved exclusively for breeds or mixed breeds commonly regarded as hypoallergenic. If you’re unsure if your dog meets this requirement, just ask! Hi! I’m so glad you’ve come across my profile and I can’t wait to hear more about your pet care needs. My name is Allison, and I’ve cared for animals for over 20 years. I live with my husband, and we currently have no children, furry or otherwise. My experience is in providing senior care, special needs care, task-training, enrichment activities, and basic life support (BLS). My rescued pup, Sylvie, recently passed away after having lived out her senior years full of love and comfort. It was such a privilege to care for her in her golden years, and I have yet to adopt another dog since her passing. Needless to say, there is a special place in my heart for senior animals.
Reviews
Allison is amazing!! After reading all her great reviews and our first meet-up, I knew without a doubt that I picked the best sitter! Roscoe had 2 surgeries on April 18th, and needs some extra post-surgery care with extra feedings and potty breaks while we are at work. Allison did two twice a day drop-ins to help with Roscoe's needs and is doing again for us this week. We couldn't be happier!! She went above and beyond taking great care of Roscoe. Her professionalism and sweet caring heart does not go unnoticed! Roscoe said he can't wait to spend more time Allison when boarding is needed in the near future!
I would highly recommend Allison. She took great care of our dog, was very responsive, and asked a lot of good questions preparing for his stay. We have an active dog and she found things to do to keep him entertained!
I went on an 8 day vacation to Disney World & left my 14 yr old senior puppy with Allison. I didn't have to worry, he was in such good hands that I felt as though I left him with family and I think he felt the same. He was so calm and relaxed when I picked him up, I think he saw me and thought, oh, it's you. No anxiety on his part at all. I am so thrilled to have found Allison. If you want to book your fur baby with her, don't hesitate, you can't go wrong, they'll be in good and caring hands. Thank you Allison!
Allison was wonderful! She is very communicative and sent us pictures the entire time she had our puppies. I love how she kept them entertained and stimulated with neat dogs puzzle toys and walks. When we picked them up they were properly tired and happy! I would trust her again with my dogs and also highly recommend her. She is great and will make the time you are away easy on you and your fur kids for sure!

Safety, trust & environment
To provide the safest environment for the dogs in my care, I board only one client’s dog(s) at any given time. Dogs in my care get the opportunity to play and run around in my home’s fenced backyard. The yard is enclosed by a 5-ft tall wooden fence and I closely supervise outdoor play, so even known escape artists can explore safely. I am also certified through the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC) in RECOVER Veterinary CPR: Basic Life Support (BLS).

Information Allison L. would like to know about your pet
Every dog has behavioral quirks and I’d like to know about them! Do they have any behavioral challenges? Dog-aggressive? Leash reactive? Bite history? I also like to know about your dog’s medical disposition. Do they have special needs? Allergies? Medication? Are they up-to-date on their veterinary care regimen? In the warmer months, are they protected against fleas/ticks? Are they on heartworm prevention? No need to answer these questions right away, but expect me to ask questions like these at our meet-&-greet. I look forward to meeting you soon!
A typical day
My backyard and the trail system in my neighborhood offer plenty of walking opportunities for the most active dogs. The cozy, quiet neighborhood offers a peaceful place for the most laid-back dogs. My home is a hop and a skip away from the beautiful Clemmons Educational State Forest and the Clayton Community Park. I’m more than happy to get your pup some quality nature time!

Availability
I work from home (WFH), so my boarding clients can rest assured that their dogs are receiving quality care from a sitter that has the time to care properly for them. My most popular service is boarding, but I also offer drop-ins and walks. My business hours are between 8am and 9pm. You can find me at home or at client visits in the Raleigh area when I’m not out exploring everything our beautiful state has to offer.
