Pet care experience
I grew up on a farm with all kinds of animals, but we consistently had dogs. I’ve trained and taken care of dogs for my entire life. Covid allowed me to shift to working from home, which enabled me to have the time and stability to raise two dogs of my own! My partner is wonderful with pups as well, and we regularly take care of dogs for friends. Note: We will only take 1 client at a time and generally only 1 dog. If you’d like to book more than 1 dog, please contact us and we’ll chat about temperament and energy levels.

Allison was the best with Pepper. I appreciated the daily updates and Pepper was happy and relaxed when I picked her up.
Allison and Mike were welcoming and pleasant with us and our dog. I would have liked to receive updates or information during the day for how things were going.
Allison was awesome! She was able to help us out of a late breaking jam. Introduced our pup to a new puzzle, took her for a walk, and patiently dealt with an uncharacteristic territory marking. Grateful for her care and patience!

I have a fenced yard for the dogs so they can go out in for short bursts during the day. Additionally, the neighborhood is super walkable and has several good parks nearby!

Please share info about their energy level and how they get along with other dogs! Our dogs are social but still enjoy their routine and space, so a dog that will need their endless attention may not be the best fit. We also do take meetings during the day so a dog that will not be okay with a supervised toy, puzzle, or a nap on their own for ~30 min is likely not the best fit either. Please send me any questions! We’ve loved having dogs with us from Rover so far and have a great balance with it.
A typical day
If it’s a 8-5 sort of stay, we’re happy to provide breakfast for your pup when they arrive. Typically Mike and I have virtual meetings throughout the day, but we take tons of time for enrichment puzzles, throwing the ball around, and just hanging out. During lunch we’ll take all the dogs (yours and ours) on a walk to the park. For the afternoon it’s more meetings and usually a big nap after the walk! If your dog is with us in the evening we usually will take an evening walk around the neighborhood after dinner. Weekends with your pup will include dog parks, hikes, and adventures (if you’re comfortable). Please let us know if your dog has any favorite local places.

Availability
My partner and I are currently on hybrid schedules during the week. I typically spend 3/4 days out of the week working from home which gives me us freedom to take the dogs for walks and to hang out during the day.
