I have taken care of dogs since I was a young child. I have experience with small dogs to large dogs. Currently I am working on training a rescued dog and love the challenge it brings. Being able to care for dogs, who love us so well, brings me so much joy. At home, I have had responsibility for many years to walk, feed, and bathe the family pets.

Allison has demonstrated such good care for her dog Oakley ever since she got her. She has shown maturity and love towards her dog, taking her to the dog park and on road trips with her. Even despite her being in school, she always makes Oakley feel loved, cherished, and cared for.

I have experience walking dogs, and using proper leashes or harnesses to ensure their safety. I watch the dog’s interactions to help determine if they need a restroom break. When letting them outside at your home, I’ll ensure the fence is fully closed or I will let them out per your guidance if they require a leash or tie out. When we are walking, I will be conscientious of other dogs, vehicles, and pedestrians to ensure your pet’s safety.

Please let me know how your dog prefers to be walked with any appropriate leashes, collars, etc. Please also let me know about any behaviors or tendencies they have that is beneficial for me to effectively care for them and interact with them during our walk.
A typical day
I love to stimulate dogs’ minds with walks that include lots of sniffing, breaks, and sniffs into the wind. There is no rush on our walks, we are purely focused on their enjoyment. If you are comfortable with it, I would love to take them to a dog park so that they could enjoy some off-leash time. I love to walk dogs on forest preserve paths, and the Old Plank trail.

I just started working as a nurse on night shift this past fall. My care via Rover would occur on my off days. I try to keep my calendar updated, but I am happy to arrange something else with you if a different day is better.
