You could say I’ve been taking care of animals straight from the womb. I was lucky enough to grow up on a small local farm, where I learned to take care of dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, and, horses. I truly cannot imagine my life without animal companionship. As a mom to a 7 year old, it can be hard to find jobs that work with my family’s current needs - which include my son tagging along on walks. Before joining Rover, I was a nanny for three very active boys for six years, before they added a golden doodle little sister to the mix. After nine amazing years, we began to slowly outgrow each other. It was truly a bummer, but finding a job involving dogs made it a little easier! So, for one fun year, I drove a minivan chock-full of dogs home from doggy daycare. I would love to continue doing what I do best - walking, snuggling, and taking pictures of your awesome pets.

My dogs LOVE Allison!! She is their favorite person to see when she comes to take care of them. She is great with all types of animals and she is a pleasure for me to work with as well. Always reliable and very caring, she loves them like they are hers. I know my fur babies are in the best hands and having a great time when she is around so I never have to worry.
Allison has years of experience as both a pet care provider and child care provider, and has been a trusted home sitter in the area for years. Allison has two adorable cats of her own and has been a previous (and wonderful!) dog mom, and is a reliable and caring provider.
Allison has been with my family for more than 6 years. She started out as our childcare provider. Over the years our kids needed less. However, we got a dog 3 and 1/2 years ago, and Allison’s role changed to meet our pet care needs. She spends nights and weeks at a time at our house with our dog. She is trustworthy, neat, and provides so much love and attention to our dog. She is also firm with training and house rules. She is intuitive and knows when our dog isn’t quite right, and even helped us figure out how to get our dog’s monthly pills into her. Allison is sure to be a wonderful addition to your pet’s life.

It is important to know how your pet is at home, or on the go with unfamiliar people, and animals. Is your pet ok with kids? Does your dog need to be crated? Do they require medication? Please let me know if your pet has any quirks or habits.
A typical day
I live close to Salem commons, and am very familiar with the most of the north shore areas. I drive an SUV so I can easily transport your pets to wherever they need/want to go, including dog parks, parks with wide open spaces, the beach, woods, hiking trails, or anywhere in between.

Availability
I work mornings part time, so I am relatively flexible. Due to changes outside of my control, I will need to be able to bring my 7 year old son with me on walks. I am sure we can make a schedule that works for both of us, and am often available for last minute drop ins.
