Pet care experience
My family and I have 2 dogs of our own and we regularly watch family and friends animals in our home. Both my husband and myself grew up in households with animals and have ample experience taking care of both dogs and cats. Our 2 year old daughter has been taught from day 1 to be gentle with animals and loves having them in our home. We have an active lifestyle and regularly take our dogs outside for exercise.

Thank you Allison for taking good care of Kirby! I bet he had a lot of fun (he just slept after we picked him up)! Also thanks for the video and photos. I especially love the one he was with you daughter. So cute and loving! I will definitely send him back next time we are in the Tahoe area.
Allison is fantastic! She sent me pics of my dog and took amazing care of my cockatoo, parrot. Not many were open to considering my very well behaved and easy going cockatoo, but thankfully Allison did! Only down fall is she lives across the country from us or she’d be caring for all of my animals all of the time.
Bailey obviously had a great time at Allison’s! She sent us photos and videos of him playing with her dogs and hanging out happily in her house. When we picked him up and brought him home, he was much calmer and happier than when we bring him home from boarding facilities. I wouldn’t hesitate to leave him with Allison and her family again!!

I have 2 other dogs to keep your dogs company. We do not have a fence but if your dog is a runner, we have no problem leashing them for potty breaks. Our 2 year old is great with animals and is always down to play. We allow dogs to sit with us and be part of our lives all the time. We do not crate our dogs, but if you prefer a crate, we have no problem making space for that.

Let us know if your dog has any special needs like diet or meds. As mentioned, we have a child in the home so if your dog is not great with kids our home might not be the best fit, but we are always happy to set of a meet and greet to test the waters.
A typical day
We live in a great neighborhood for walking dogs and regularly take out dogs out. We love taking our dogs down to the lake where they can run around and often go on dog friendly hikes.

Availability
Both my husband and I work Monday-Thursday and I am part time. We have ample time in the mornings to let dogs out and in the afternoons/evenings to engage with the animals. We are home 3 days every weekend and can be with the animals for much longer during those times.
