Pet care experience
Your dog is your family, and will be treated as if it was my own! I love all breeds, sizes, and ages. I’ve helped potty train puppies and given medication to elderly dogs. I have extensive dog walking experience and was the General Manager of an AKC (American Kennel Club) doggy day care in New York City. I have seen it all! My attention to detail ensures that your pet is cared for according to your exact specifications. After each visit, I’ll report in about what we did and how your pet was. The dogs that I care for are always excited to see me, and I’m excited to see them. There is no other job that I would rather have; what could be more fun than this?! I would love to have the opportunity to chat with you about what I can do for you and your pet.

I booked Allison for long-term, daily walks. She is very responsive, patient and has taken initiative when it comes to caring for our 1-year old 40 lb dog Vernie. Her rover cards are detailed and thoughtful, which helps us assess how to care for Vernie beyond his afternoon walks. Her flexibility with scheduling has helped a great deal due to our busy schedules (one of us travels a lot!). She has also sat Vernie in our home for hours with no problems. I would definitely recommend Allison!
Allison was fine. Things were a little sketchy after she claimed that she got so into walks that she forgets to take a picture to send. That alone would have been (kind of?) understandable, but she only said that after I called her out for trying to pass off a photo she took the first day as a photo of the dogs on the second day. Rather than saying she forgot to take a picture, she cropped the old picture and hoped no one would notice. Which means she either took the time to crop a picture instead of just take one while she was at the apartment, or that she wasn’t at the apartment when she finished the check in so she couldn’t take a photo of the dogs. If the latter is true (which is the only reasonable explanation really) it means she also was trying to make it look like she was with the dogs for a full 30 minute visit on the dot when she was actually there for a shorter time. She didn’t have photos of the dogs on the third visit either, and when I specifically asked for them along with a note of where to leave the keys on the fourth and last visit, her only response was to send 20 pictures of the dogs. In the end the dogs were fine, but knowing you’re apartment and two pets are being watched by someone who tries to sneak around isn’t ideal.

I like to know exactly what tasks you’d like to ensure I take care of. Does the dog need to be fed? How much and what time? Is there a certain way you’d like the house to be left (tv/music on, light on/off, windows open/shut, etc.)? Does the dog get treats for certain things? What are their key words for training? What are their likes and dislikes? I want to be able to provide consistency, so your pet isn’t confused with a change in routine.
A typical day
For walks, I always find the best, closest green space, so the dog can spend as much time as possible on the grass. We’ll do whatever it is that your dog loves: running, fetch, tug of war, or maybe just wandering and sniffing all the sniffs. If they have toys they like to play with, I'm always up for tug or fetch! I'm also a very experienced belly rubber, ear scratcher, and couch cuddler. Whatever makes your pet happy, that's what I'll do.
