Pet care experience
Prayed for a dog since I could talk. Got my first dog when I was 9 and have had animals ever since. I am on my second rescue and I adore him. I am told by my friends and family that I am the first person they think of to care for their pets because of the attention and love I give them. Trained three puppies and have loved them until they crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The only animals I can't keep are snakes and lizards. Ha! All others I welcome.

In the five years I have known Allison Futch, I have seen the love she has in her heart. Her love, her Scarlett, she cared for and loved until Scarlett's last day. To see the love, but to also see the sadness when she had to say goodbye to her counterpart, her heart. Scarlett had the best momma for so many years. Allison finally was able to open her heart to another. Rhett. A rescue, but they saw something in each other. They helped each other. Her energy transformed a dog that when she first brought home, he shook, had seizures, was afraid of human contact...to the total opposite. Doggie smiles, happy, and safe. My roommate and I had our beautiful yellow lab Toby and for a decade and a half. He would stay with her and there was no worry in our mind because we knew who Toby was with. Allison.
Allison is a very compassionate, caring, and sensitive person regardless of whether it is for a person or an animal. She has owned and cared for her own dogs for many years. She was fostering a dog for a while but the person for whom she was fostering gave him to her. She was excited to have her own dog again. She loves him as if he was her child.

I have an indoor dog and I take him on lots of walks as well as we play together in the back yard so he can run freely. It's important to me that he gets plenty of play time, even though he loves to sleep. Exercise is what helped my past dogs live so long.

My dog has seizures, and anxiety. I am well versed in special needs dogs, so I would be extremely sensitive to the special circumstances of any animals I am given the opportunity to care for.
A typical day
I know all dogs I have had and kept love being out doors. Going for walks or even a run several times a day is so fun for them. Playing catch with a ball or their favorite toy. Working with them on learning things like how to shake, sing or simply sitting.

Availability
I only work part-time at the moment and request my schedule in advance, so I know my availability. I have a dog of my own and he's great with other dogs, should he ever accompany me on any walks.
