Pet care experience
Lover of all dogs big and small. I've owned all types of breeds from retrievers, to pomeranians, to rescues and everything in between. I have owned and cared for dogs my entire life. I've also watched other friends and family's pets and understand how to love and care for all animals. When it comes to dog walking/drop in visits, I understand how important it is for our pets to get outside and enjoy the day. My schedule is flexible for remote work so I am also very flexible to walk your dog throughout the busy work week! Mornings, afternoons and evenings are all doable with my schedule. Allison is great with dogs! She treats all dogs as they are her own and enjoys spending time with them. Allison is very active and enjoys playing with dogs and she enjoys taking them on walks as well! Allison is very responsible and punctual and will always be on time to help you out with your dog. You couldnt ask for a better person to take your dog on a walk, to play with them, or feed them.
Allison is a wonderful sitter! She has taken care of my dog a handful of times and has always done a wonderful job! Not only does my pup adore her, she has taken the time to also make us, the owners feel comfortable. She is a wonderful communicator and would recommend her pet-sitting services to anyone! I would like to know if the dog has any special circumstances to be aware of. For example, if the dog does not like other dogs. I would want to know this before walking them and engaging with other people and their pets. I would also want to know things like "do they get a treat after a walk." Or other commands the dog is used to hearing from their owner.
A typical day
We’re very familiar with Reston and the trails/dog parks here. I know many popular areas for people with their pets, but if your dog does not do well in group settings, there are also plenty of grassy areas and trails nearby to take dogs. I know Reston/Herndon well, so depending on where the dog owner lives, I am very familiar with the area and where to go on walks.
