Positively Enriching Your Dog's Day

Pet care experience

Thank you for visiting my profile. I started my pet sitting business, called Sit-n-Stay, as my first job out of high school. Fast forward to now, I have completed my Master’s in Sustainable Managemet and am getting back to my love - animals & being outside. I passionately teach my own dogs - one rescue adopted as an adult and two rough collies - competitive obedience skills, tricks, and we are currently jumping into agility! I love watching the dog brain at work, did you know that over 12.5% of the dog's brain is dedicated to olfactory senses (smelling)! I am happy to keep working on Fido's leash manners for you and make sure they have an engaging time with me. Do you have a fun trick that you want Fido to learn? I might be able to help with that, too. My personal dogs are quirky, so I understand how important it is to have someone that will take their time getting to know your dog. I enjoy facilitating a learning environment where the dog feels at ease and can have experiences that are right for them. I am comfortable navigating behavior quirks, earning the trust of shy pups, and managing reactivity. One of my pups is naturally pretty hesitant about life and I find it incredibly rewarding to help him become more brave. Let me know what quirks your pup may have and I’ll be happy to work with you.

Allison was exceptional! I have two pullers which I seldom walk simultaneously. She managed to reign them in and also supplied me with some helpful tips. I'm very happy with her service!

Amazing care for my two old girls. ❤️ We were away for 2 weeks and one of them had a medical issue which we worked through together. She implemented a care plan flawlessly and cared for her as if she were her own. Allison took the worry out of being away.

Allison was fantastic. We got married on Saturday and she arrived right on time to pick Griffin up after our ceremony. He had a great overnight, got some much needed r&r, and Allison dropped him back in the morning. Allison was easy to communicate with, very sweet, and sent a video of griffin enjoying a roll in the grass - I highly recommend trusting her with your pup!

Safety, trust & environment

At this time, I offer care exclusively at your home. There’s something more calming for a pet to be in a familiar environment. I am happy to work with crating or whatever type of set up you may have. Please be sure to provide logical instructions or let’s set up a time for me to chat with you so that I know where the necessities are (like leashes, food, treats, etc) and so that I am aware of your preferences.

Information Allison B. would like to know about your pet

I would prefer to know the dog's typical schedule, any medications they may be on, and if they have any special quirks ahead of time so I can better care for them. I'm happy to take on the "quirky" or reactive dogs and the easy-going alike.

A typical day

We can go on walks around your neighborhood or take longer "field trips" to a hiking destination. I love teaching dogs tricks or giving them puzzles. I even have a few doggy puzzles that I can bring to make sure your pup is getting all the mental stimulation they need while you are away. Spending time working on a puzzle or thoroughly sniffing on a walk is far more influential for a dog’s well-being than just distance. My favorite walks are those where the dog gets to lead the way (while still practicing polite leash manners of course) and set the pace.
