Allie walked my dog Tess so many times I have lost count. Tess was a senior dog when I joined Rover and required a bit of extra attention and patience during her walks. Although Tess wasn't necessarily easy due to her frequent falls and slow pace, Allie joyfully accepted every walk request I sent her way. It was also important for me to have someone very experienced in dog behavior and care so that they could catch any alarming health changes. I always felt confident and grateful while Allie was with Tess and could not recommend her enough!

Allie was given a Golden Retriever puppy, Harry, when she was about 10 years old. At the time she and her mother and brother were living in a remote area without a lot of other kids to play with. Allie spent hours and hours caring for and training that dog. Not that Golden Retrievers are difficult to deal with but this dog was perhaps the best trained dog I have ever known. I saw him at the beach on several occasions..this was a fairly deserted beach and he was allowed off the leash to play in the surf and look for fish. Whenever a stranger approached from down the shore, Harry (without being called), would return to Allie's side and wait for the people to pass. Amazing. That's the story of Allie's Harry. It illustrates her uncanny ability to read and train dogs.
