Pet care experience
I have completed a full HNC and HND in Animal Care. I currently study Psychology at University and am hoping to continue working with animals in the future. I have always had dogs in my life. I grew up on farms and also have lived in a city, so have experience in both rural and more urban areas of pet life. I have previously worked in a rescue centre and a dog shop in Edinburgh. I have a border collie of my own who I have had since she was 8 weeks old, although she mostly ignores other dogs, she loves to play with her own toy and enjoys other dogs company.

Allie is such a wonderful sitter,our pup is very very energetic but from the moment we met our mind was at ease , she kept us updated the whole time and sent plenty of photos,she even text afterwards to update us. Will definately be happy to have Allie watch Koda again.

I will always accommodate for what is best for the pet owner and pet. Previous employment has shown me all different pet owners and pets from all walks of life. It has proved to me that each unique relationship between pet and owner, from their routine to the food they eat and toys the play with is very important in ensuring that your pup (and you) are happy. I enjoy finding out things about your dog/cats quirks and what they like, don't like, are afraid of and things they absolutely love! Working in a rescue previously has also helped me understand more about dog behaviour, and has made me vigilant with dogs of all walks of life and who they are.

Please let me know of any behaviours your dog exhibits (dog reactivity, stranger/human reactivity) or any behaviour that I may need to keep an eye on, any health conditions &/or allergies. This includes hay-fever and any other condition which may flare up due to certain stimuli. Please also provide contact details for yourself, an emergency contact and a vet. This helps me better prepare so you and your beloved pet can both have wonderful days!
A typical day
I live on the coast so beach walks are a normal walk for me! I also have transport/live close to more sheltered areas so can take dogs on a walk in more wooded areas nearby. I also have an arsenal of mentally stimulating toys, such as lick pads & bowls, puzzle toys. I also like to play hide and seek (great recall game) and am always looking for more ways to enrich my dogs life!

Availability
Until Septermber I am on break from Uni. So I have lots of time to be around to play and go for walks or just be company for a beloved pooch/feline. Post September I will be updating my availability to fit comfortably around my uni/personal life to ensure I have all the time to dedicate to the animals in my care. I am within my 4th year of university which may affect my availability - particularly around assessment times. This will be updated on my calendar accordingly.
