About me: I’ve been around animals as long as i can remember. I grew up with 2 cats and I’ve had a rescue dog for a little over 10 years. I have been dogsitting for about 8 years (way more if you count doing it with my moms help). My earliest childhood memories are crawling around on the floor with my cats. Experience/Specialties: I have a diabetic cat so I’m comfortable with administering insulin or any other medications via needle with a little instruction beforehand. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and breeds (including my all-time favorite client-a 120 pound pit bull). I have no problem with “difficult” dogs as I have some experience with dogs with behavioral problems and fully accept the challenges/risks involved, given that it works with my apartment living situation (basically no really loud dogs that my neighbors will complain about). I have a soft spot for pit bulls so you won’t have to worry about me being scared off by those big scary cuddle monsters. My situation: I’m a student at VCU and have a relatively light schedule so I’m never away from the house for more than a few hours. I have one cat living with me at the moment who is fine with dogs (especially larger ones) and usually stays in my bedroom anyway. I hope you will consider me to help take care of your pets! :) Note: I have my preferences set to only allow medium + large dogs for daycare and boarding services because my cat tends to do better with dogs that aren’t his own size. This is definitely not concrete and I’m very willing to accept a small dog with a little more information about him/her :)
