Pet care experience
I have had dogs, cats, and various critters my whole life. I grew up with springer spaniels, an Australian Shepherd, and a mixed breed. As an adult, I had a wonderful dachshund, and have dog sat several friend's dogs, including a lab, a corgi, and another mixed breed, all in my home. I have cared for and trained puppies, as well as cared for senior dogs up to age 16. I am comfortable giving medications and dealing with special diets and needs. For those interested, I am also trained in animal reiki, and can provide that to your pet (only if you are comfortable) while they stay. I have also owned and cared for a wide variety of pets, not just dogs. I currently have a cat in my home, and a horse who lives at my parents' farm, and have had him for 20 years. I have owned hamsters, rats, and guinea pigs, as well as watched my nieces' guinea pigs, goats, chickens, cats, and dogs.

I have a small fenced in backyard and great walking trails near by. I can easily crate your dog if needed. I have 1 cat, who can be timid with new animals but is not aggressive towards them.

A typical day
During the week, things are a little more low key due to work. I am home in the evenings starting around 3:30, and can take your dog for a walk and the wonderful trails by my house, play in my fenced in backyard. On weekends, we can go for walks, play i the yard, or go out to my parents horse farm in Somerset, only if you are comfortable.

Availability
I am a special education teacher, so from September-May, I work from 7:00-3:15 during the week, but I am available to come home and let pets out for potty breaks over my lunch at 11:30 (I work only a few miles from home). I am available anytime on weekends or holidays. I do not work during the summer months, so I am available anytime to care for your pets.
