Unfortunately we didn’t have the best experience with Alli and our dogs. Although they were taken care of and that’s the most important thing.. it wasn’t an ideal situation. This app is not cheap to use and when you’re paying a premium you expect to leave your pets in good hands. Day 1 of our trip Alli seemed to get her “wires crossed” on letting the dogs out. We had already pushed the check in times further apart than I preferred this day to work around her work schedule and then she proceeded to be 2 hours late only after I text her to check in when it had not seen her on our ring camera. Thank god we had a camera or I’m not sure she would have shown up. Again from our ring camera at our front door we could see her coming and going throughout our time away. Typically I don’t pay attention to this but after day 1 I was worried. Many of the visits were under the 30 minutes we paid for. We received 2 pictures of the dogs over 5 days (4 check ins a day) with no context or any information on the pets. Maybe she loved on our girls hard and played with them… maybe she didn’t.. no idea because there was no Check-ins or “report cards” on her part which I am not used to. Overall I was just disappointed and felt stressed that the dogs were not getting the love and attention they deserve. I don’t like to leave negative reviews as I know it can effect people’s income however this is not the first Rover we have used that didn’t treat this platform like a real job they are being paid to do.

Alli was great, we needed someone to stay in our home with our dog last minute and she was flexible in scheduling a meet and greet and our dog, who is usually pretty shy, warmed up to her quickly. She sent pictures throughout her stay and followed all the instructions we left. She treated our home like it was hers and everything was tidy when we got back. We would definitely use her again.
