A life-long animal lover and pet owner, I provide exceptional care and attention to cats and dogs for walks, house/pet sitting, and drop-in services. I have over two decades of experience caring for cats and 15 years experience caring for dogs. Previous work has included dog walking, cat sitting, and dog/house sitting. I have worked with and owned shelter rescues ranging from chihuahua mixes up to large, active huskies. I have cared for cats as young as three months up to beautiful seniors. For both cats and dogs, I am familiar with managing feeding schedules, giving medication (oral, cutaneous, and injected), grooming, CPR, and nail trims. During my time working with you and your pet, I am happy to apply my skills in training of basic commands (sit, stay, heel). Further, I am familiar with signs of sickness or distress in animals (facial expressions indicating pain, being warm/hot to the touch, hunching, limping, drooling/excessively licking lips, etc.) and will always act quickly to protect your pet's well-being. In addition to dogs and cats, I have experience caring for small mammals and exotics. I have pet sat for rabbits and guinea pigs on multiple occasions, and as a teenager, I volunteered at my local wildlife sanctuary. There, I received raptor training and cared for/socialized birds of prey. I also cared for skunks, opossums, snakes, turtles, groundhogs, and ducks that had completed physical rehabilitation and become permanent sanctuary residents. Finally, I have extensive experience working with and caring for horses. A rider since age 6, I love working to keep our equine friends happy and well cared for. I also have basic experience caring for chickens and goats.
