I once asked a friend how she would describe me and she provided the description "part dog." I didn't think that would go so well for an online dating profile. For a dog-sitting profile though.... I owned an Australian Shepherd for 15.5 years have not found myself emotionally quite ready for another dog since she passed from old age. To fill the dog void, however (I literally cannot stop myself from saying hello to every dog I pass), I dogwalk or dogsit. Needless to say, no longer having a pupper at home, I have a LOT of loving to lavish on other dogs. My most recent dog experience was with my senior girl. I am accustomed to an animal hard-of-sight, hard-of-hearing and hard-of-balance, who requires a lot of TLC and daily medication. That said, I am comfortable with virtually any stage of a dog's life. I can do short or long walks, or even jogging if a dog requires. I do have a full-time weekday job so my availability is best for those who would need an overnight dog sitter, or perhaps evening or weekend walks. Unfortunately, I have a cat allergy and cannot stay with cats in the home.
