Pet care experience
Ok, I know what you're thinking-- she's new! She has few reviews, so how do I know I can trust her? I'd be thinking the same thing in your place. Leaving your treasured companion in someone else's care is nerve-wracking business, but I hope you'll give me a chance, and here's why: 1. Check out my tutoring profile by doing a Google search for "Alix B tutor Overland Park" (without the quotes). As a private tutor, I provide professional, caring academic assistance. You can see that parents trust me to give their children my absolute best, and I plan to do the same for your pets! 2. I am a veteran volunteer at Wayside Waifs. Since 2010, socializing the dogs, cats, and small animals at Wayside has been one of the most important parts of my life! It's also given me the opportunity to work with animals of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. Whether your pet is a snuggle bug or a cool customer, I'll strive to give him or her the amount of attention wanted and needed. 3. I understand that many pets have special needs. Does your dog use a special harness for walks or boots for paw protection? Would you prefer your pet not to interact with other dogs or people? Is your pet on a restricted diet? No problem! As someone who has owned pets through all life stages, I know that details matter when it comes to animal wellness. 4. I'm an admitted fitness geek. Ok, so I'm not exactly the Flash, but I am a regular jogger and obsessive walker. Taking your furry friend for a brisk walk will be my pleasure, and we can even jog a while if your dog needs to burn off some energy, provided the weather is safe for vigorous outdoor activity. I also enjoy a nice, relaxed stroll with plenty of time to smell the roses (and the grass, and the dirt, and the trees, and the fire hydrants....). 5. I'm an equal opportunity animal lover. Am I dog person or a cat person? Yes! I'm also a bunny/guinea pig/sugar glider person. And when I say "my hair is a rat's nest", I mean it literally! I don't have as much experience with small animals as I do with cats and dogs, but if you provide detailed instructions, I would be happy to follow them. 6. I've set a low introductory rate to help me earn your business. As a Rover newbie, I realize I'm asking you to take a huge leap of faith. You should get something in return, like a low price for my services. It's only fair!
Reviews
our first time leaving molly for extended period and Alex could not have been better. Every day we would receive updates and photos. Could not be happier !
Alix was great. This was our first experience with Rover and Alix made us very confortable with pictures from her drop-ins and walks with our dogs. Thanks very much Alix!
Alix took great care of our Cooper. She was very responsive and kept us up to date while we were out of town. She was also very understanding as our flight kept getting delayed. We will definitely use her again in the future.
Thank You, Alix we appreciate your care of our boys so much!

Information Alix B. would like to know about your pet
Does your dog have any special needs such as "short walks only" or "no treats"? Are there any behavior issues I should be aware of, e.g. "reactive toward other dogs", "not friendly to strangers", "afraid of bicycles", etc. ? Are there any human behaviors that your dog doesn't like? I've seen it all, from dogs with "no pet zones" on their bodies to dogs who are afraid of people wearing hats (yes, really).
A typical day
I'll be glad to take your dog around your neighborhood or to a local park for some quality time outdoors.
