DOGGO FOREST CAMP
Pet care experience
15 acre fenced woodland. We do leashed walks while we get to know each other. No unleashed walks until mutual trust is established. Walks are several times a day, dependant on the weather (heat). We have several outdoor kennels for unsupervised fresh air, as well as numerous crates inside the air conditioned house for quiet time. Some pups may be invited to the living room and futon. Prices have gone up for the summer due to the climate. It takes more work to make sure your pups are comfy as they cannot use the kennels are much. More walks and more air conditioning! THIS IS A BUSY WORKING HOMESTEAD NOT JUST DAY CARE, please plan your trip appropriately. I do not want to have to work harder than I do already and late arrival could cost a dog it's playtime 🙏🏽: * I do not pick up Pets - this is an extra $ervice $65/trip (I would rather not have to pick them up) * Failure to leave food, and snacks will incur a markup charge to cover materials, time, fuel, and MY health. Your mistakes will pay forward the mistakes of others. 😉 NOTE* Please arrive promptly, on-time. Being late and inconsiderate screws up a lot of things around here for the dogs. You could be denying animals free time outside by having us ready earlier than we need to be for your arrival. Be considerate, or I may terminate a booking. I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ANY RECENT TRAVEL OR DOG BOARDING YOUR BABY HAS HAD. PLEASE DECLARE IF YOU HAVE RECENTLY BEEN EXPOSED TO TRAVEL AND BOARDING TO HELP LIMIT SPREAD OF A MYSTERY DOG ILLNESS IN 14 STATES.

Alistar was amazing. Our Lady is not always an easy dog. She has separation anxiety and is has a terrible fear of storms. Alistar took great care of her. She wasn’t eating so he made her a steak. He sent me pictures and videos to ease our worries about leaving her. I will always use Alistar when we need a sitter. Thank you for being so kind to our sweet Lady.
Over all everything was fine but we felt Alistair didn't take much time getting to know the dogs before we left. Our dogs don't do day care often so getting to know them would have made the experience better for them.
Alistar was absolutely terrific with my fur baby. I went on a cruise and boarded her with popular company, her first time being boarded, they told me she didn’t eat, couldn’t be around other dogs because she was so scared, she had diarrhea vomiting and weight loss.the vet gave me meds for her for boarding , said it was separation anxiety. This cruise I found Alistar, what a treasure! He treated my baby like his own. She ate ( a lot) had zero issues and played with other dogs. I got videos and pics almost daily. Never once did she need calming medication. Not only does Alistar care but he’s knowledgeable in pet care as well. My furs baby had a wagging tail alot.
Is my third time booking with him. Very satisfied!

I stress test every dog on arrival. This means giving some crate time to evaluate how they will handle being alone if I am away; for their safety and to ensure no damages. I create safe spaces that they can lay down and have peace and quiet, but allow them to mingle and wander around if there's no concerns. At no time is any animal allowed to be free in such a manner they could leave the premises. I wont even off-leash in my gated area unless I know the dog well. Some dogs can jump high! Feeding is morning and evening. We do walks when it isn't too hot. They may be crated temporarily if left alone on the property, but have plenty time to lay on the futon and stretch out otherwise. I also use outdoor kennels for unsupervised fresh air time. Otherwise i let them run around me and the pen when I'm outside working.

I prefer to accept bookings with photos of the pet and prefer meet and greets for heavier animals. We can do a meet and greet at your leisure. PLEASE KEEP ALL ANIMALS ON-LEASH ON ARRIVAL. A typical day
We have 15 acres to explore and run about. Morning starts with breakfast and potty time, before doing walks and photos. There's a 4 acre fenced woodland, and several more acres of wooded trails to walk on. Baths and bug checks are frequent in hotter months. They may be discouraged from certain areas for this reason. Baths are also possible if they become soiled, or on exit from the stay.

My schedule is entirely open at the moment. I work 11-2 Tu-Fri about 10 minutes away. Otherwise I am around the house a lot. Pet care is a daily process for me as I have my own fur babies to take care of as well. In addition, I have chickens, ducks, quail, and rabbits to care for. So animal care is a daily routine. A large focus of every day.
