Pet care experience
You know the lady who can't pass a dog without stopping to say “Hi?” Well, that is me for sure! I absolutely love animals, but I especially love dogs. I have been rescuing and fostering dogs since I was a young child. I love dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments. I have worked to rehab many abused and neglected dogs and successfully helped them to find their forever homes. I am a Newfie mom so I love giant breeds and I also have 2 foster fail Chihuahuas so I adore small pups too. I am a homeschool mom; I am home all day! I will send you lots of photos and updates. I can also help with transportation to and from appointments! I am comfortable with some reptiles (no snakes, sorry), rodents and cats. I am well versed in natural dog remedies: homemade dog food, homemade dog treats, homemade bone broth, turmeric paste (golden paste), supplements and even a raw food diet. I will be your dog’s Mary Poppins!

Alison is the absolute best!! Her and her family are absolutely wonderful and from our first meeting we could tell she loves what she does and it shows so much in how much all the dogs, including our own dog Nunu, love her. It had been a long time since we had to leave Nunu and we really needed someone to trust to take good care of Nunu and thats exactly what we got with Alison. She communicated so much with so many pictures and updates. I still felt so connected with our dog and it helped immensely with the fact that we missed him so much. She went above and beyond in every way and even accommodated for his very detailed diet plan. We were so grateful that Alison was able to make her home Nunu’s home and give Nunu some new furry friends as well. It was such a great experience, we will definitely be using her sitting services again and I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs boarding for their pet!

I would like to know about your pets likes and dislikes! Do they like car rides, playing fetch, and do they have any special needs? Special needs like: dietary restrictions, weather or other anxiety issues? Also can I help your pet in any area of training? I want to be sure your pet is happy, but most importantly safe! Please let me know of any problematic behaviors I should be aware of. For example does your dog bolt when they have a chance, will they grab food from the table or can they be aggressive to other animals. These behaviors would not be a deterrant for me; I want to provide the safest environment possible for your furry friend!! With my fostering and rehab experience I have seen it all and want to be informed as to provide your pet with the best possible care.
A typical day
My time with your pet will be specific to his or her needs: If your pet is enegetic and needs stimulation I am happy to walk/run your pet, take a car ride, or pick up a puppy latte from Starbucks and head to the dog park for some fun. If your pup is more of a homebody, I will happily cuddle on the couch and give lots of love and affection. Being away from an owner is hard! I want to make your pet feel as comfortable and happy as possible! If you do not want me to actually “spend the night” at your home I am can stay at my place but give your pup house sitting hours and treatment: arriving early, staying late, walks, playing, trip to the dog park, car rides and basically spending the entire day with your pup. I am very flexible with hours and pet needs!
