Pet care experience
I love this job and will never get over how many cute sweet animals there are in this world! Leaving your fur baby with a sitter can be nerve wracking. Our pets are family and we always want the best for them! I have been watching dogs on Rover since 2014. I assure you your pet will be well-loved and cared for while you are away. I am home all day with any boarders, doggy daycare or housesitting clients. We spend our time snuggling, getting exercise, sniffing around the neighborhood and playing in the backyard. I know my pup is my steadfast companion and I can assure you I will care for your beloved pet as if they are my own :-) I have a small rescue mixed-breed chihuahua, Poppy. Poppy enjoys the company of other dogs. I have about a 2000 square foot fenced-in back yard (chain-link fence 4 feet high). I also live across the street from a large park and have a great, safe neighborhood for walking dogs. I do not use herbicides or pesticides in or around my home for many reasons, a top one being the safety of your pet and mine. I work from home with lots of time for walks and play. We allow dogs on the sofa and beds but can reenforce whatever you do at your home. I only use a crate if a pup is crate-trained and that is the owner and/or pups desire. The backyard is fenced with a 4 ft high chain-link fence. There is one gate which I block with a large barrier for extra safety so no pooches escape. I will follow your desired care instructions. Dogs are ALWAYS leashed on walks. I can be somewhat flexible with rates depending on your needs and how many bookings I have. Feel free to reach out and inquire! New to Rover? Use promo code: ALISON DOG LOVER 20 (all one word to make it work) for $20 off your first booking. July-August, Spring and Winter Break are the busiest boarding times. Because I have up to 5 dogs during busy season I cannot take dogs that show aggression toward other dogs. Thank you for understanding.
Reviews
The boys always have a fun time with Alison and get great care!!
Alison was a wonderful sitter for our mini golden doodle. Our dog has some social anxiety, but she warmed up to Alison right away. We loved that Alison sent us regular updates, including photos from their daily walks. We felt like our dog was being taken care of by a trusted friend. Thanks Alison!
Cooper had a good time staying with Allison for 3 days. It was his first time away from our home, and Allison clearly helped him feel comfortable. I will not hesitate to have Allison watch Cooper again in the future.
Alison was very friendly and willing to take my crazy energetic pup. She sent me videos of them playing and it gave me a piece of mind having my pup with her. Highly recommend!

Dogs usually sleep on, in, or near my bed. I am up early to allow dogs to potty in backyard. Then it is breakfast time: I feed dogs in separate rooms or crates to avoid food aggressive behaviors. We walk, relax, play, walk, dinner, outside time, sleep, repeat.

Information Alison W. would like to know about your pet
Please provide veterinarian info, emergency contacts, feeding instructions, any allergy information, your pets likes/dislikes and important to know facts, for example: "doesn't like the car or only sleeps in their crate."
A typical day
Depending on your dogs needs/desires, we can do long walks, no walks, or day trips to romp around in the wilderness. If your dog does not need too much exercise we can have a cozy, loving time hanging out at home and exploring the back yard.
