Pet care experience
I’ve helped take care of neighbors and friends dogs my entire life, since about 8 years old. The past 6 years, I’ve regularly helped care for friends and family members dogs, cats, and rabbits. I also volunteer at the Maryland SPCA as a dog deputy and have worked with many different dogs there. I believe in caring for each animals individual needs, whether that’s lots of walks, time to rest, patience, cuddles, etc.

Alison was great with our dog, Moshi! She was flexible with scheduling, responsive and sent photos while we were gone.
Copper always had a great time with Alison! Love the pictures that she sends during his stay!
Glad she got to go out, watch the game, and have a few beers. My bad for not mentioning she likes to scoot out of her harness sometimes!
Our boy Earl had such a great time at Alison’s. She always kept us updated with photos and texts, and it made us feel at ease throughout our entire time away.

We have a fenced in yard with grass and a patio. Our street is a short one-way so there isn’t a lot of noise or traffic. In the house it is just myself and my boyfriend, no other people or pets. The entire 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath townhome is open to dogs, but we may keep the door to our bedroom closed to keep dogs off of the bed. A quiet street + fenced in yard means lots of outdoor space to play independently, to be walked, and to get fresh air.

I currently work remotely with a flexible schedule and am happy to adapt to the needs of each pet that comes through our home. My partner works in person full time and will interact with dogs in the mornings and evenings, but due to my work flexibility, I’ll be the primary caretaker.
