I am a lifelong dog lover who is without a dog. My lab mix passed away a few years ago, and we recently moved and decidedto give cat life a try! I walked my dog 365 days a year for almost 10 years and I miss having a walking buddy. I nursed him through a year of cancer and surgeries, and numerous ear infections, and other ailments related to food allergies. Truthfully, my dog was a bit of a lunatic, and I feel like I dealt with every possible scenario except for him biting. I have an online business, so I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I'm finally into the groove of cats after a year of coexisting with one. :) I had never owned a cat before, and there was a definitel learning curve. After having a small chunk of my finger scratched out, I now know that it's not okay to pat her on the head when I walk by, like I would a dog. Luckily I've learned that cats are not shy about letting people know what they want!
