Reliable and Engaging Pet Caregiver

Pet care experience

I have become the designated pet sitter/walker in my family and neighborhood. I absolutely love spending time with dogs. I am a pet parent to a 3 year old Aussie-mix named June and my first fur baby, Ruby, who passed in 2020 at age 13. June also loves spending time with dogs, way more than people! :) I have experience with dogs of all shapes and sizes, from puppies to senior dogs and those with medical conditions.

Ali always does a great job taking care of our dog when we are away! I know that when Charlie is there, he will be well taken care of.

Safety, trust & environment

At my home, we have a fenced in yard, sidewalks for easy walking, and plenty of toys to keep dogs of all ages engaged. I do tend to limit access to toys when we have new guests until I'm better able to gauge temperaments. My dog is crate trained but only for nighttime sleeping (she's free to roam as I leave the door open but she likes her crate so hardly ever sleeps anywhere else). I do allow pups on beds and couches but provide multiple dog-beds to encourage using their own space. I use positive reinforcement whenever possible, my preference is simple freeze-dried treats as most pups love these. In the summer, we spend lots of time outside in my backyard or walking around my neighborhood.

Information Alison P. would like to know about your pet

While my preference is to provide care for those pups who are dog-friendly, I am able to provide one-on-one walks and check-ins for those dogs who prefer their alone time.

A typical day

I try to spend as much time as possible outside with the pups. My neighborhood is great for long walks with frequent sniff breaks. During summer months, we often do a mid-day hike around Asylum Lake which provides plenty of shade.
