I used to work for an animal shelter and have raised many dogs of my own. As a school psychologist, I would love to start a therapy dog program for foster kids someday. I hope to continue working and caring for dogs of all sizes and handicaps to help strengthen my resume and heart to do so. I have wanted to start my own animal rescue but have not had the resources to do so. Taking care of animals weekly and on the weekends will help me fill this void and continue developing the skills and knowledge to start organizations in the future. I also like the idea of dogs being in a home setting to ease anxiety during the day and while away from their owners.
