Pet care experience
I have extensive experience with high-maintenance dogs, particularly seniors, dogs with aggression issues, and dogs with health problems. I'm comfortable being assertive but also loving, administering medication, and working with your dog's individual needs. Long walks are my favorite, and I would love to take your dog out for some exercise! My story: My last dog (a rescue bully mix) passed earlier this year after battling cancer and canine cognitive dysfunction. Through him, I gained a lot of experience handling "difficult" dogs, and I've become the go-to among my friends for high-maintenance dogs. I know what it's like to feel physically sick with worry and stress over your pet every time you have to leave town, and my goal is to mitigate that as much as possible for my clients.

Alison is a diligent and responsible pet caregiver, and she is particularly skilled when it comes to pets with challenging needs. I trust her completely to look after my large, temperamental malamute mix. I love him, but he's a mess: he doesn't like to be touched and can be protective of his food and growly around strangers. Alison takes his grumpiness in stride, respects his boundaries, and manages to offer him affectionate care. She is clear, consistent, and reliable, and my dog senses it and relaxes in her home. There is no one else I feel so comfortable leaving him with: her experience with her own challenging dog has equipped her with unique skills and incredible patience. Can't recommend her enough!

I share a quiet, pet-free apartment with my fiancé (who works elsewhere during the day). We don't have a yard, but we live in a quiet neighborhood that's great for walking. I respect some pets' need for routines and familiarity. In your home, I'm happy to accommodate whatever protocols work best for them.

I love long walks around neighborhoods and around nearby trails, if any are available. I'm also very, very good at tug of war and tag (if I do say so myself).

Availability
I work remotely and have a very flexible schedule during the week, so I'm able and willing to accommodate whatever timeline works best for you and your furbabies! For animals who require close supervision, I'm able to spend days at your home as long as there's Wifi that I can use to work. I'm also available on weekends on a case-by-case basis.
