Pet care experience
Hi everyone! Thanks for checking out my profile! I've been pet and house sitting for a few years now. I've cared for many different animals including young dogs, senior dogs, cats, geckoes, and a snake from time to time. I love taking dogs on walks, for hikes, exploring the beach, tossing the ball, or just snuggling on the couch. My dream is to have a dog of my own, probably from a local shelter or rescue organization. Right now, with living in an apartment and applying to grad schools, it doesn't seem like full time dog ownership is a good fit for me right now. Until then, I look forward to adventures with special canine friends from friends, family, and .... hopefully ..... Rover! Thank you!

Ali is awesome: professional, pleasant, communicative, responsive. She came over to meet our pup Coolio ahead, was proactive about coordinating details for her stay in our home, and was gracious about coming really early on day one and staying really late on day last. She was great with Coolio, even took him on a hike around Macworth Island. I felt informed and comfortable, and came home to a happy dog and clean house. Highly recommend!
Alison was an awesome sitter for my crazy Aussie Ruby! Very kind and always sending me updates and pictures. I never once worried about my dogs well-being and when I was away I had a peace of mind! Thanks again Alison.
Allison was an amazing house sitter while I was on vacation. She kept our place clean and even offered to wash the sheets before leaving! She also took my dog for some awesome adventures on peaks island. She really did go above and beyond in house sitting!

I do not have a breed preference...All are welcomed. I definitely want to know about the training you all have done together so I can continue/ work on it while you are away. I'll also ask about their normal routines and personality. If they like being an only dog and have a strict routine, I definitely don't want to change this and create a stressful environment for them. I've watched older dogs that are very relaxed and enjoy a few short works a day as well as younger, energetic pups that could live outside and play catch all day long! I'm very adaptable. I also might ask about any treats or special toys they really enjoy...I also like to spoil them a bit too!
A typical day
Living in Portland, there's LOTS of fun, beautiful trails to roam on! Between Mackworth Island, East End, Kettle Cove, OOB, South Portland Trails, and Saco, we'll never run out of things to do! I enjoy hiking and love car rides! Growing up in Maine has allowed me to explore many of the different trail systems the state has to offer. I frequent the Augusta area as my family lives there so if your pup enjoys meeting a few people, exploring new lands, and going for car rides, we'll have fun on an adventure, or two!
