I have grown up with rescue dogs my entire life and am used to a range of temperaments. I currently have a rescue Pit Bull-Shepherd with anxiety that is reactive to other dogs. Which is to say that I have learned to be keenly aware of her body language and our surroundings while out on walks, and I will carry over these skills while caring for your pet. I generally like to allow dogs to exercise their noses on walks and enjoy a sniffari, but am happy to practice skills such as heeling and/or loose leash walking if they're something you want to reinforce. Just let me know- I'm happy to accommodate your request!

Alison worked to win over my anxious dog and it wasn't long before he was eating and playing like normal. It was a relief to see them having fun in the photos she sent each day. I appreciate her patient interactions with him and thoughtful notes to me throughout the week.

Alison has vast experience with pets. While growing up, a canine was always part of her family, and now she happily has a dog of her own! She would be a great sitter for your cherished pet because she cares about animals, is patient with them, and is extremely responsible. I would definitely entrust my pup to her care!
