I’ll be your pets new favorite

Pet care experience

I’ve had almost every kind of pet anyone can have growing up and as an adult; hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, cats, geckos and of course dogs of all sizes. I’ve raised dogs all the way up from a puppy until they passed, adopted dogs from shelters of almost all ages, but typically younger dogs. In my early childhood, my mother worked at an animal hospital for 3 years and I would help out after school while I waited for her to get off. One of my closest and bestest friends was a dog trainer in the Air Force; she’s my go to for most of my questions and curiosities.

Alie was wonderful with our older dogs. She took her time and made sure they were taken care of properly. Our dogs seemed happy and healthy when we returned.

Alison was wonderful! Kept our babies safe and loved while we were gone. Open communication the entire time which we appreciate. Highly recommend!

I was very happy to find Alie, she is a true dog lover and takes amazing care of my boy like he belongs to her. Being a boxer he is a little crazy and slightly difficult to handle but, I have no worries with Alie. He gets very excited and goes with her no problem. Alie will text over a picture, leave me information on treats that are best for him, and cares for him the way I would. I never worry about him when Alie is around.Thank you so much for giving me that one less thing to worry about when I am away for work. I know with you my boy is in good hands.

I don’t care for my dog, or any pet, like normal people do. I treat animals as my kids and love to see them happy, healthy, and in a good home ( mine has the tv on when I go to work). If I’m caring for another’s pet, Sammy usually goes to his grandmas so your pet can have my full attention. If I am caring for a pet in a clients home, I’m flexible and will accommodate the pets usual schedule, plus anything extra such as taking them to the park, to Lowe’s or Home Depot to walk around, or a pet store. I have a mid sized SUV and I use a hammock in my back seat to prevent injuries in the event of an accident or unexpected braking. I can house sit during the week, ONLY if your home is within a 10-15 mile radius from Fort Knox. If you live closer, I’ll be able to let your pet out during lunch as well.

Information Alison B. would like to know about your pet

There are so many things that are important to know ahead of time, some most pet owners don’t even think about. Such as, is your pet is temperamental towards kids, loud noises, anything with wheels, etc. or are there any triggers for aggressive behavior. Is your pet food aggressive? Does your pet not like to be petted or touched in certain areas? Is your pet aggressive with other pets/dogs, only likes females, or if they’re friendly with all other dogs? , I’d like to know how comfortable they are in new homes, if they can go up and down stairs with no issues, or if they have any allergies. There are so many things to consider, but I’m sure you get the idea.

A typical day

I like to take them everywhere with me, to the pet store, out shopping, to bars, other dog friendly stores, as well as Lowe’s, and Home Depot just to get some enrichment and exercise indoors if the weather is not favorable. There are several farm stores as well that I take my dog too, as well as frequent walks throughout the day, at least every two hours or so. There’s also two massive dog parks near my house within walking distance that are for small and large dogs, and they’re rarely crowded. If I were a dog and I was at home, alone or not, I would hate the dead silence. But that’s just me. I usually turn the TV on to whatever randomly shows up if I’m gone for a while or just step out for a few.

Hello there! I’m Alison but everyone calls me Alie. I’m 38, have a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education, and I work full time. I walk my dog as much as I can on days that I work; before work, during lunch, after work and in the evenings. I was told once, “you sure do take your dog out an awful lot.” I then asked, confused by that statement, “what, this isn’t normal?” I’m off on the weekends and I take him almost everywhere I go. We love going on adventures to the lake, hiking in the woods, I even load him up on my kayak and he goes with me down the river. I literally take him everywhere I can.
