I have been around animals my whole life and have cared for my now deaf, small pup for 10 years now, as well as sharing a pack of 7 with a former partner. I also help friends, family and neighbors out regularly and foster dogs from the local shelter. I'm comfortable with dogs and cats of all ages - as long as they do are not aggressive towards me or my pup.

I have a small fenced in yard and live in the back of a quiet, pet-friendly neighborhood that is easily walkable. I can also crate pups if needed. You dog will always be leashed on walks - no exceptions on my watch.

I ask that you please let me know ahead of time if your dog has any special needs, or behavioral traits that I should be aware of. Same for food sensitivities, allergies, etc. Please also be transparent about energy levels. While I do spend a lot of time at home and am in physical proximity to my pup and any others in my car for the majority of most days, I do not have the bandwidth to spend every waking moment focused solely on them. I work from home and a calm environment is important to me. If your pup requires a lot of attention and more than an hour or so of outdoor activity per day, it's best that you look for another sitter.
A typical day
My neighborhood is quiet and pet friendly, great for easy dog walks. I do this twice a day with mine and we love it. I love to do moderate hikes like The Slide trail, Divisadero, Cañoncito and Columbine. If your pup is good in the car and would like to join me, I'd love the company! At 10 years old, mine either stays home or I carry her part of the way in a doggy backpack.

Availability
I work mostly from home and have lots of flexibility in my schedule. My dog is really easy and loves calm company. Other than the fact that she is deaf, she doesn't have any special needs. However, I am able to accommodate ones who do.
