I wake up every morning and after my coffee, I take my Deuce on a long walk where he can release all his energy and sniff everything in sight. After we get home, he does his zoomies and I give him a treat and eats his breakfast. From there, he takes a long nap and that’s when I get my work done. He wakes up again and follows me everywhere around the house or runs errands with me. Before it gets dark, we take a nice stroll around the neighborhood again and he eats a second time. I would care for your pet the same, depending on their special needs. Every dog is different but all they want is attention, love, playtime and safety. I would gain their trust at their pace, being patient and going from there. Playing their favorite games, taking walks/runs, giving them lots of tummy rubs, etc.
