We are now accepting new clients! **Please note dogs who have not been in our home before must have a meet and greet before we can formally accept a booking request.** We cannot take same-day bookings for new clients. Seth and I own a home across from the Keystone Trail and have a large yard for playing with a four foot fence. We have a German Wirehaired Pointer (we think!) mix, Loki, who is well socialized and LOVES to play. Seth has been employed working with domestic animals since 2012 and is very knowledgeable about dog behavior and medication administration. Alicia is an all around dog-lover who will organize communication between you and our household while booking and is available to send daily updates while you are away. We are laid back owners who treat dogs as a part of the family. There are no house restrictions in rooms of the house or with furniture. We will do everything we can to accommodate your dog's typical schedule and rules. Seth and I both have positive relationships with area vets and an experienced dog trainer in the family should we ever need to call upon them with an issue. Your dog and Loki will be separated while we are out of the home to prevent any playful accidents. We have experience working with special needs dogs both with Loki and our 2014 abused/neglected and emaciated foster dog Nelson. Loki understands when dogs are not able to play and is respectful of their space. The beauty of having two people in the home means we can split up to love on your dog and exercise ours at the same time. Our household also has two dog friendly cats, Kitty and Effie. A meet-and-greet is required for our new clients to ensure both dogs and cats have a positive experience in our home. Please contact us as soon as possible to make this appointment. Dogs are allowed to sleep in our room or anywhere in the guest room (even the people bed) and we may experiment the first few nights to see what makes your pet most comfortable. We may use approved pet aroma therapy spray if your dog appears to be particularly struggling with separation anxiety. A small baby pool stays clean and filled in the yard to help dogs cool off and we have a leader line available in case your pet enjoys jumping fences when people are present.
