Hello Everyone! My names Alicia.I have an extensive background with many animal species. I have owned Dogs, Horses, Cats, Chickens, Goats, and Reptiles. Animals have been in my life since I was born.I am a Dog Trainer and owner of "Rose City Dog Training" speacilizing in behavior modification and obedience through a reward based training program. I grew up assisting my mom with her dog care, training, and grooming business. I have always loved working with animals, and am glad to offer my years of experience to Tehachapi families. Dogs aren't just my passion, I want to make working with them my career.I have also fostered neglected animals. I believe every animal deserves a second chance and a forever family. I have an open schedule. I can be there any time of day or night to ensure your pet has the proper care he or she needs. I love all dog breeds and have had experience with all sizes! I have plenty of references so don't be afraid to ask! As I mentioned, I have trained dogs and I am dog training certified servicing Portland and surrounding cities. My first job was grooming dogs with my mom. I showed dogs in conformation, obedience, and agility classes. I have no breed preference. I love and have experience with all dog breeds. Years and years of hanging out with dogs has rendered me basically telepathic; I am able to ensure your pup’s comfort by being able to sense their personality and what that type of personality requires. That could be a nice run to get some energy out or a cuddle session to try to calm a nervous pup down. I am very patient and calm with dogs. I will have open availability on however each animal needs for my presence, love, and care I make sure to spend plenty of time with the fur babies in my care, I will stay full time, part time whatever is needed to ensure the safety and, love of all animals.

Alicia provided expert in-home sitting that kept my stranger-averse, large, reactive (and elderly) dog as comfortable and calm as possible while my extended family traveled together for nearly a week. The peace of mind that came from knowing our pup was in good hands despite her issues was priceless, as was seeing her in good spirits and well-cared for when we arrived back home.

I would like to know of any specific behaviors your dog may have. A few examples would be...Is your dog house broken? Does your dog get along well with other dogs? Is your dog fearful of people? etc.I would also like to have detailed knowledge of your dogs feeding schedule as well if they are on any type of medications if so how often they would need to be given said medication. I would also like to know some of your dogs favorite activities, so I can ensure your dog is having a fun enjoyable experience while in my care.
A typical day
Depending on what the owner prefers.. I would either do 3-4 drop in visits including walks, feeding and play time. I can also stay overnight if the owner requests.
