Pet care experience
I am an animal lover (vegan for the animals). I have experience with dogs, cats, ferrets, and chickens in all stages of life. I have completed animal welfare and positive reinforcement behavior training. I trained my chicken, Poppy, to pick out the queen of hearts from a deck of cards.

Alicia took wonderful care of my senior kitty! She paid attention to what Misti likes and doesn't like, and didn't push her when she'd had enough. Alicia came when she said she would, stayed the full time or even a little more, was kind enough to bring in the mail and newspapers, was excellent at communicating with me, and is just a genuinely nice person with an evident love of animals and wildlife.
Alicia is a true dog whisperer! My fearful dog adjusted to her in record time. I have never felt so comfortable leaving my dog with anyone before. Her experience was apparent on our “meet and greet” she read all my dog’s cues and was able to quickly gain my dog’s trust within 2 visits. Usually it takes my dog weeks to adjust to someone new! Alicia was also extremely flexible and accommodating for my last minute plans. I’m so happy to finally have found someone I feel comfortable leaving my fearful dog with!

I love positive reinforcement training! It’s amazing what your pet can learn with a clicker, positive cues, and some treats! I can provide long walks and playtime for those more energetic or extra cuddles for the couch potatoes.
