Pet care experience
For new clients, all services require an in-person “meet and greet” prior to any services rendered. Cats are the exception for last minute requests - no meet and greet required but preferred. ***Please contact me RE: Rates as they may vary depending on specific needs or Rover miscalculations. I have personal experience with owning cats and dogs and have done this professionally with Rover since June 2016. I work with clients through Rover and also have a lot of direct repeat client.
Reviews
Alicia is very professional and personable. She is great!
Alicia and her partner had wonderful, calm demeanors. We don’t have our dog stay with people outside our family hardly at all, and I’m sure their mellow but thoughtful energy made her feel much more comfortable.
Alicia is the best! She is our favorite Rover sitter. I feel so safe leaving my pup with Alicia. She is attentive, loving, and sends tons of pictures and videos.
Taz is very timid with new people and this was his first time away from us. It took him a little bit to warm up but Alicia made him feel comfortable and brought him out of his shell a little more each day. And by the end of his stay he had made himself a new friend. We would definitely leave Taz with her again and highly recommend her.

Very attentive, patient and in tune with animal’s energy overall and found that this makes your pet's transition from you, pet owner to me, pet sitter (during a stay) more comfortable for you and your furry loved one(s).

Information Alicia M. would like to know about your pet
What is their typical schedule/routine? Do they have special needs or on any medication? How is their temperament around other dogs? What are their known commands (i.e. sit, lay down etc.)? Is it okay to take them to the dog beach/park, day trips? Do you have an emergency contact and vet info for them? What are some of their idiosyncrasies or quirky personality traits that I should know about? Is there anything I can do to make their stay more comfortable?
A typical day
Activities would depend on the dog’s age, health and usual routine. If they’re a puppy or very active breed we would go on several walks, the dog park or Rosie’s Dog Beach if that’s something they normally do and you’re comfortable with. We also like to head out on little day trips to Joshua Tree and have taken pups out to JTNP for hikes - they love it! If the dog is a senior and or has any health issues I would tone down the activity level and accommodate as needed. If they want to sleep all day that’s fine too - they would still get lots of affection (if welcomed) and make sure they have a comfy spot to rest. A lot of times I’ll do reiki on dogs, especially seniors and pups with health issues or recovering from surgery - as long as it’s ok with you. We would go over all of this as well in a meet and greet.
