Pet care experience
You can trust that when you board with me, your pet will have my full attention as I don't have any other pets. I can handle pets with specific sets of instructions, and also have general skills in managing dog reactivity and positive reinforcement. In the past I've had cats (Mimi, and Coco & Bean who I still get to see when I visit family) and most recently lived with/cared for a large male Samoyed, Topre. We're apart for now, but pet sitting helps fill the void of having a precious animal companion!

Alicia was so great with my dog, Pika! She was very easy to communicate with and gave good updates on Pika. Pika clearly really liked her and I will be using Alicia again. Would definitely recommend to any dog owners :)
Good communication and Baxter had a good time.
Alicia was a fantastic dog sitter. She sent us great photos and it was clear when we got back how comfortable and happy our dog had been while we were gone. We have a fit bark that tracks our dogs activity and we could see how much attention and great walks she was getting while we were gone. Alicia also went above and beyond and washed our food bowl and sent it back cleaner than it arrived.
I cannot praise Alicia enough for her care of my Samoyed. She's been my go-to dog-sitter for years, and I wouldn't entrust anyone else to do the job if she's available. My dog is a unique challenge as a highly reactive and independent furball who requires careful walking and tons of grooming. But whether it's anticipating his needs, handling him on walks, or brushing out his coat, Alicia is always on point. She's got a knack for understanding my pup better than anyone (even in my own family!). She reliably follows all of my instructions and she's a great communicator that I don't feel my typical anxiety when leaving my dog with others. I couldn't be more grateful for her!

My apartment is pet-safe with rugs throughout, quiet as it's not on a busy street, and close to many park/sniffing options. I don't currently have any pets of my own, so your pet will have my full attention and care.

Let me know if your pet is particular about food/feeding, if they respond well to their name or basic commands, and their general schedule at home (I'll do my best to keep to their normal routine). And for dogs, preferences in greeting other humans or dogs on walks (i.e. greetings allowed, no greeting, avoid all other dogs, etc.).
A typical day
We'll go for long sniffing walks in my neighborhood, visit small and/or big parks and community gardens, and play games indoors. Bring your pet's favorite toys and the fun will continue with me, inclusive of mental stimulation sniffing games. We'll also chill in the living room to wind down each day. A full cuddle or scratch session is required every few hours, and definitely before bed! For multiple day stays and if your pet is good with brushing, feel free to pack a brush/comb so we can help each other out with shedding ;)

Availability
I have a remote 9-5 work schedule, which means I can always take it easy at home to be a companion and guardian to your pet. This includes 3-walk minimum days around the neighborhood, and parks only if you and your pup are comfortable with that.
