Ultimately I am very receptive to any specific needs you have for your pet so please let me know how to put your mind at ease while I am with them. Some examples might be: - their preferred level of verbal or physical interaction with new humans. - I am interested in knowing each pet's light, noise and temperature preferences - as well as their regular schedule. - I like to know where to find cleaning products in case of accidents and to keep their space nice and tidy. - I also appreciate knowing any particular games they want to play, their favorite toys, and if they enjoy being groomed.
 If your pet will be needing walks I would love to know their preferred route, their leash training experience, and any challenges you are currently working on so that we can strategize together to ensure that your pet has a positive experience.

For cats, I initially just sit in their space and let them come to me (because cats). Depending on the time I have with them, I use it to earn their trust and I talk to them sweetly while I feed them and take care of their boxes so they can get used to my voice. After all of the duties are finished, I take time to find them and pet them and this is all very dependent on the kitty, but if they want to be active, I will play with their favorite toys, and give them treats and affection. If they are shy, I will give them their space but sit quietly where if they decide to come out for a quick sniff or a little pet, they know they're not alone and feel very comfortable. For dogs, every pup's needs are so different but it can range from you needing a quick drop-in to let them out to use the backyard or a longer walk or feeding and walking with plenty of rewards and snuggles. I am eager to fine-tune those needs!
