I have known Alicia for over 10 years and can enthusiastically attest that she is a caring, responsible, and reliable individual who will provide excellent care for your pets! Alicia is a dog and cat owner with experience caring for older animals as well as animals with special care/feeding/medication needs. She fell in love with her dog, Shadow, on a trip to Belize, and was tireless in her determination to get him healthy and bring him back to Canada, where she has devoted herself to making sure he is well trained and socialized. I am confident letting my children play with Shadow, as I know he has a terrific owner who is committed to keeping her own pets safe, as well as the other pets and people that they meet. Alicia will bring maturity, excellent communication skills, and a love for animals to this role and I have no doubt your furry family members will be in good hands with her!

I've seen Alicia's relationship with her dog Shadow since it began, when he "adopted" our group on a vacation in Belize. Alicia took her responsibility to Shadow seriously, getting him to checkups and ensuring he had appropriate shots, and taking on a significant amount of work to bring him to Canada. That care and attention has only continued since Shadow came to Canada to live with Alicia and her partner. She has put in a lot of work to help Shadow adjust to a new home in a new climate, to ensure he integrated well with her pet cat, and to give him a happy and healthy life. It doesn't surprise me to see how well Alicia cares for Shadow every day, because she has long done the same with her cat Owen. She is a responsible and loving caretaker for Owen as well, and has been from when she first fostered him to his senior years, including caring for his chronic illness. I would not hesitate to trust her my own pets, and I'm sure she would be as caring and responsible toward any dog as she is to her.
