I've loved animals from a very young age. I grew up on a ranch in northern CA with all sorts of animals. I love dogs, and am a frequent dog sitter to all my dog owning friends. I can provide many references upon request. I am interested in becoming a dog walker/sitter because I love being around dogs, but unfortunately am not able to have them in my apartment building, so I figured this would be the next best thing! I am very active and often take my friend's dogs on walks and hikes during during my off time. I become very attached to the dogs I sit and they to me as well. I can't tell you how many times my friends tell me how excited their dogs get when they know I'm coming to stay with them. Our walks would be about 30 minutes, and hikes are about 1 hour. I would treat your dog as if my own, and look forward to meeting yours soon! I work a job that allows me to be available during the daytime, which is ideal for the walking/hiking aspect of this job. As far as the stopping in and checking on your pet, I am available to do that at least a few times a day as well. I will be able to do that in the morning, afternoon and evening(after work if I work that night). I may be available to stay with your pet as well, but we can discuss that when the time comes. I'm also cat friendly, so if your dog has a kitty friend(or two), I'm happy to check on them/feed them/ clean litter box, etc. while I'm checking in on your pooch.
