Responsible and friendly dog lover new to Crosby!
Pet care experience
Neighbours and friends have often asked me to care for their pets while away so have walked lots of different dogs over the years. I have experience with older, medium breeds (springer spaniels) and smaller breeds such as border terriers and terrier-mixes. Happy to do off-lead walking with recall-trained dogs after checking their obedience with a new walker, but also have experience with nervous / flighty dogs who need to stay on-lead. Looking for dog-walking and drop-in care opportunities in the Crosby area.
Reviews
Excellent
Bodhi was a very happy dog after her walk. Alice was a great communicator before and after the walk. Highly recommend.
Alice looked after my dog Maggie during a difficult transition period for us. Alice was amazing! She went above and beyond what I’d hoped for in a dog sitter and Maggie was soooo happy with her. When I’d pull up outside Maggie couldn’t wait to get out of the car and ran up to Alice’s door wagging her tail. She would run in like it was her own home. Alice always treated Maggie as if she were her own. She’d always have her back when out on walks and would take her out to cafes and on beach walks and send me photographs. Maggie even loved Alice and her partner enough for a sleepover! Even now that we’ve moved house we keep in touch so Maggie still has her friend Alice! Having a dog with separation anxiety can be very stressful and there’s so much trust needed to hand your dog over to anyone else to look after especially someone new. I trust Alice without question. If you need someone to be there for your dog, Alice is without doubt the best you could ask for!
We are so happy that we found Alice to walk our lovely but strong & lively dog Enzo! Alice is wonderful and obviously loves dogs! Enzo loved her too! Having Alice look after Enzo & walk him while we were away on holiday made us be able to relax knowing he was in safe loving hands with someone who is extremely kind caring and trustworthy! I would strongly recommend that you can rely on Alice with any dog! She is perfect!

Happy to drop-in to your home to care for your pet and will make every effort to follow the care routine your dog is used to (e.g. feeding / walking schedule, when they can be treated etc.). Happy to follow your lead as the owner (no pun intended!) We live in a flat with some outdoor (but not secure) space so could take dogs on the smaller / older / sleepier side during the day if they need care or company for a little longer.
Information Alice S. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog is allowed treats / training treats for good behaviours and if you are working on anything with them. Do they have any allergies or medical needs I should know of? Are they friendly with other dogs or can they be nervous?
A typical day
We live really close to the beach and several parks, so lots of opportunities for new smells and routes! If your dog is nervous or uncomfortable around other dogs, there are plenty of wide-open spaces and quieter roads around us so it is relatively easy to avoid other dogs if needed. I prefer to stop (and perhaps have the dog sit) at curbs before crossing roads but otherwise I let dogs I walk stop to sniff what they like when on walks (when it is safe). I think long leads are great for giving dogs more freedom and space when in big spaces (like the beach!)

Availability
I am currently looking for part-time work since moving to Crosby recently, so my schedule is generally very flexible. I am mainly looking to walk / take care of pets during the day on weekdays but could do evenings if needed.
