Pet care experience
I've taken care of dogs, large and small, young and old; dogs typically take to me right away! When I announced I was moving out of my old state, my dog owners all said, 'What will my dog/our dogs do?!' I am new to AK (est. June 2021) and looking forward to expanding my dogsitting services here!

Alice is the BEST dog-sitter!! She loves every dog as if it was her own! I was so sad when she moved - she was the only person (other than family) that I’d let watch our dog. She is kind, sweet, and truly a dog whisperer. She will play with them, take them for walks and have lots of snuggle time. You and your fur-baby will love Alice!!

I've found that the best scenario for a pet is in their own environment and that's my preference to care for them. When I stay in your home and upon your return, my hope is that you'll barely know I was there (I try to leave no trace). I prefer written special instructions on care so I know your pet is getting their special treatment with me as well!

I like written instructions on your dog's care, so I ensure they're getting what they need and are used to (i.e. a scoop of dog food in the morning and night, a walk, etc.). I also like to know if there's anything your dog doesn't care for (don't touch his back leg, prefers not to greet other dogs on walks, etc.). Any applicable health notes are especially important to me!
A typical day
I try to mirror what you'd do with your pet if you were home. Whether the routine is playing fetch, going for a long walk or hike, belly scratches, or a combination of those and more, my goal is to make your dog happy and at ease in your absence.

I work from home Monday through Friday from 5 AM-1:30 PM, so have plenty of time to care for pets either in your home or on an as-needed basis.
