Pet care experience
A dog-loving middle school teacher enjoying her summer full-time in Wheaton! I can't wait for my dog and I to meet your furry friend. I currently live in an apartment and love to take Charlie on walks for fresh air every 1-2 hours. I also love to take my dog to the dog park so please let me know if that is an option for you- walks are always just fine! Even though my friends make fun of my love for dogs...I must admit I dedicated my entire summer last year to training my dog. I can't have just one :D so I want to make yours feel right at home!

Alice took great care in learning about our nervous dog and his needs before he came to spend the day with her. She was very responsive in communicating and offered to meet Jasper before having him in her care. It is obvious that Alice loves dogs and enjoys spending time caring for them. She sent great pics when they were out and about on multiple walks. I felt very comfortable leaving our dog with her and we will definitely be repeat customers!

My Portuguese water dog means the world to me, but he can be a handful! I trust very few people to take care of him properly, but Alice is one of those few. -if boarding/day care, please know I do have a dog at home (he gets along with all dogs but he is high energy) -I have a large crate in my home (fits dogs from 10-60lbs) with a dog bed. Let me know if that is something you would like me to use or you can bring your own. -I can do pick up and drop off as I have my own car. -I take the dogs on walks around my building every 1-2 hours despite not having a yard. -My building does have a doggy area. -I own plenty of nylon bones for your pup to chew on.

Is your dog crate trained or prefers to roam? Can your dog play fetch in a field without roaming or running off? (Confidence in recall- this will not occur unless the owner specifically requests this exercise) What is your walking/feeding routine? What does a normal day of exercise look like for your dog? Does your dog have any food aggression or not like to be pet in certain places? Does your dog do well with other dogs? Can they be taken to a dog park? (Please be sure to address this if boarding/day care)
A typical day
Walk around Wheaton every 1-2 hours! Tug of war in my buildings doggy area. (With your approval) Spring Avenue Dog Park in Glen Ellyn (With your approval) Off leash fetch in Central Park Tug of war and puzzles training (bring some treats!)

Availability
I am home all day and wake up around 8/9 am. My boyfriend comes home at around 8pm and we go to sleep around 10. I usually exercise the dog around 10 am or 3pm with 10 minute walks several times in between. I am in my masters program so sometimes I will go to the library for 2-3 hours after noon. If your request gets denied it may be due to the specific hours not working.
