Pet care experience
Throughout my 27 years, dogs of all shapes and sizes have been a big part of my life. From puppies to older dogs, I've had the joy of experiencing it all. Growing up around these dogs has given me a solid foundation in handling dogs at every stage of life, and has left me with training skills. I've always been the go-to person among my family and friends whenever they need someone to look after their dog. Now, I've decided to extend that care to local people who might need a hand. Working from home gives me the flexibility to be there for your dog whenever they need attention. My house comes with a good-sized, secure garden, and there are plenty of nearby walks to explore. It's an ideal setup to make sure your dog gets all the love and care they deserve. If your dog tends to be a bit reactive, don't worry – I've dealt with that too. My parents' dog has similar tendencies, so I understand the importance of giving some dogs extra space and patience during walks. I have also cared for those dogs that are nervous around new people and things, understanding the care and reassurance they need to feel comfortable with somebody new, including those rescue dogs that have had a tougher start to life. Rest assured, your furry friend will not only benefit from my years of experience but will also receive the individualized care they need in a safe and fun environment.
Reviews
This was our first time leaving Maggie with anyone and I am so happy I found Alice. Maggie had a lovely weekend, Alice was super and kept me updated on how she was and I picked up a very happy greyhound. I will definitely be booking Alice again. Thank you for looking after our fur-baby xx
Alice is great! So pleased to have found a lovely second home for Brody who doesn't settle well in kennels. Brody is looking forward to his next sleepover already!
Alice is great! Hoping to send Rio again soon.
Alice looked after Arlo whilst we were on holiday abroad for a few days. From the initial meet and greet, Alice immediately set us at ease by asking lots of questions about Arlo's needs and demonstrating her knowledge and experience of looking after dogs. She also has a lovely home which Arlo immediately felt comfortable and relaxed in. During Arlo's stay, we recieved messages and photo updates from Alice too, which was lovely. We would highly recommend Alice - so much so, that we are already looking to book with her again for some daytime dog sitting in May!

I have a good sized, secure garden, which your dog can enjoy. I do not have any pets of my own at the moment as I have recently bought my house. Therefore if your dog likes more quiet environments, away from other pets, this is perfect. I am happy to fit in with the schedule you have for your pets, as I know animals can be very particular. I have space in the house for crates/beds for your pets to have their own space. I love walking, so can take your dog on walks locally to me, to explore the area together. These walks tend to be quite quiet, so if your dog is more reactive, this will fit well.

Information Alice C. would like to know about your pet
It would be great to get to know as much about your pet as possible before looking after them. What their energy levels are like, how they behave, particularly on walks and with other dogs (although there are no other dogs in the house). This is so I can understand their needs better, and am happy to work around their behaviours. It would be great to know if they have any medical needs. Each pet has their own routine and schedule, so it would be good to know as much of this as possible to make them feel comfortable in my care.
A typical day
I understand that dogs need different enrichment activities throughout the day. I would start the day with a lovely local walk, allowing them to stretch their legs first thing and get the brain switched on. Then, as I work from home I will give your dogs some mental stimulation to keep them busy, i.e. licky mats or treats hidden in towels/boxes. I will also let them out into the garden regularly for toilet breaks and also some more time to have a sniff and play. Here, I will play with their toys and am happy to do whatever they enjoy. Once I then finish work for the day, I will take them out for another walk (if they are staying overnight). I am happy to work around your dogs needs, as I have a flexible schedule, if they need more walks or longer walks, I can fit this in also.
