Hi! I'm NE Portland gal who loves animals - and I can’t wait to meet yours :) ! I grew up with dogs and they’ve always been a big part of my life. I went to college in Madison, WI where I walked dogs and dogsat for some older folks in the community, and when I moved to Chicago after college I volunteered at an animal shelter and watched friends’ cats. I currently dog and cat sit for friends in Portland, and I have a pet bunny of my own :)

Alice was amazing. She communicated throughout the night with updates and photos. Our dog felt comfortable and was excited to have someone to play with while we were away.
Alice was great! Received cute photos and she was easy to communicate with. My dog was anxious in the beginning but tired and seemed good when I got home.
Alice was very friendly and considerate when overnighting with my 2-year Dobie mix. Took her on several long walks and sent updates :).
She was wonderful! Brought my energetic pup to multiple dog parks and long walks. She was one tired happy dog when I got home. Would recommend her for sure!

I strive to create a safe, warm and trusting space for your pet. I do this by responding to their needs, following their lead and trying to keep their routine consistent with what you as their owner would typically do. I’m super active and love taking long walks. I’ll even take your dog running if that’s something they enjoy! I let the pup set the pace, and give them lots of time to sniff, lie down, roll in the grass — all of their favorite things. I also have a car and would be happy to take them to a dog park or on some trails! When it comes to pet-sitting, due to having a bunny of my own, I do not bring dogs or cats into my home; however I am comfortable staying at your home in whichever way your pet is most comfortable. I've shared beds with dogs, or can crate them at night - whatever you prefer.

Definitely let me know if your dog has any needs or special behaviors - if they’re reactive, aggressive around kids or other dogs, if they bark at squirrels or cars or garbage trucks, etc. so that I can anticipate and be properly vigilant. It’s also good to know if they like to run off/if they are trained to go off leash.
A typical day
I love to take long walks around the neighborhood, hit the Forest Park trails, hang out in parks — whatever your pup is up for. As long as we can be outside together, burning off some energy and getting in some sunshine, it’s a good time in my book.

I work from home and take frequent walk breaks. I'm very flexible when it comes to fitting in dog walks, pet feedings, play time, you name it, throughout the work day.
