Your pup's private Zilker retreat

Pet care experience

I have been caring for pets professionally for 11 years, in addition to our family’s personal pet experience. With the recent passing of our senior dog, we are opening our home again to new friends. We have experience with dogs of all sizes and ages, and we specialize in senior dogs. We welcome dogs not yet potty trained or incontinent older dogs. We can administer any medications, do daily coat maintenance/brushing, handle special diets/food allergies, and give medicated baths. We have additional insurance outside of the Rover guarantee, so you can be confident your pet will be protected in the event of any emergency. Our home is a safe place for your special pup, and we can’t wait to meet you!

Alia & Linnae are the best pet sitters! Our dog Birdie absolutely adores them. They take such great care of her when we travel and send detailed updates daily. If you are looking for someone to treat your pet just like their own, look no further. They are amazing!!

Alia and Linnae were incredibly communicative, and in tune with my pup’s needs. I could tell my sweet Ravioli enjoyed her time with them, and I loved seeing all the photos they sent. Would absolutely have them care for her again!

Safety, trust & environment

We have no other dogs in the home. We have one very respectful five years old who wants to grow up to be a veterinarian. We live in a house with a fenced yard. We are happy to crate your dog if needed, but we also welcome dogs who do not use a crate. We have a large X-pen during the day for puppies so they can stay both safe and close. All our dog friends are welcome to sleep on the couch, in our bedroom on one of our comfy dog beds, or in their crates at night.

Information Alia & Linnae P. would like to know about your pet

We would appreciate a heads up about any special needs, including dietary restrictions, weight management issues, continence issues, and any medications. If your dog has frequent health episodes, we would like a clear history in case we need to seek emergency medical care. We would like to make sure we respect your dog’s needs, so if your dog has shown any reactivity (new people, kids, other dogs/animals, leash reactivity, separation anxiety, or being touched in certain ways) we know so we can minimize those triggers. We also would like vaccine records or confirmation through rover so we can protect any young puppies that might later visit our home. Please provide the most up to date vet information you can.

A typical day

We live in a house with a fenced yard and love playing with all our toys, balls, etc. We have puzzle toys for our dogs, and our daughter LOVES to give treats. We are walking distance from Zilker park, Barkin springs, and all the fun dog places in downtown Austin. For safety reasons, we will not take your dog to public dog spaces (dog parks, etc.) unless they have regular experience in those spaces with you.

I’m a medical student, and my partner Linnae works from home. We start the day with a morning neighborhood walk, and depending on the dog, a nice run. If your dog is reactive to others (or a puppy waiting for shots) we can also have significant playtime in our big grassy backyard instead. We feed breakfast after exercise to ward off upset tummies. After that, we do morning medicines as needed. I go to school, and Linnae stays home to chill with your pup. We do yard potty breaks as needed and have lots of comfy beds to chill on during the day. Linnae goes to pick up our kiddo from school around 2:45 and is back by 3:30. We do an evening walk and yard romp when I get home, around 5:30, and then it is dinner time. After dinner we take potty breaks as needed, do any brushing and required medical care, and then get whole family ready for bed. Light out is around 10.
