Pet care experience
I have been around dogs my entire life. Last month I lost my 12.5yo fur girl to lymphoma and am ready to open my heart to your dog, but not quite emotionally ready for full-time ownership again. I love spending any free time outdoors, which means lots of hiking, walks around the neighborhood, and running. If your dog likes snow, even better, because I love powder hounds. I have taken care of my friends’ and family's dogs on a fairly regularly basis, either for weekends or while they're on longer vacations, and have always had a blast getting to know their unique personalities. I like to ask a lot of questions during a meet and greet to understand your dog’s daily routine so I can mimic or maintain - to the extent possible - your dog’s daily routine. So please do let me know about their walk schedule, feeding, sleeping habits, how they behave on leash and around other dogs.

Ali took wonderful care of our dog, Atlas. She did a very thorough meet and greet with us before the weekend. Her dog, Zoe, is very easy going and she and Atlas seemed to get along great. Ali took Atlas hiking and sent us lots of pictures over the weekend. She was very flexible with pick up and drop off times. Would highly recommend her to take care of your dog.
Ali was wonderful! Coda seemed to really enjoy staying with her and I would definitely have Ali watch him again!

I live in an open loft (1200sq ft) and have a small patio/outdoor space. There are plenty of grassy areas in the neighborhood if your dog likes to play fetch otherwise I love walking so we can have on-leash bonding time.

I'd like to know about what rules you have for your dog and his/her habits (i.e. walking on the left, times he/she eats, whether treats are permitted) because keeping things consistent while you are away will be comforting to your dog. Our dogs each have their own unique do/don'ts . . . .
A typical day
Lots of walks for exercise, potty needs and for the sniffs. I love to hike (on leash or off-leash if your dog is responsive to his/her name), run and snowshoe. I will take your dog to dog parks as well if that’s your preference.

I work a hybrid schedule and WFH Wednesdays & Fridays. When I’m in the office, I can commit to a morning and evening walk of > 30 mins, more for very active pups.
