I begged my mom to let us get "my dog Silver" when I was four years old. Growing up as an only child, she was a big part of my life. Taking Silver out on walks with my dad at night is something I remember fondly. In addition to my experience with my own dog, I have taken care of a lot of our family friends' dogs (Boomer, Kirby, Hershey, Mimi, Maverick, Rosemary, Charlie... just to name a few). Most of the time, we take the dog in at our house and treat it like our own. Now that I'm away at college, I have less dog interaction. I love getting outside and being active and I think this is a great opportunity to combine my love of dogs and walking outside!
