I have two border collies that live a beautiful life filled daily walks, local hikes & lots of fetch. We adore the breeds intelligence & eagerness to learn. Remy is a "puppy" who joined our pack in 2021. He is definitely the baby, those pandemic puppies amiright? When he isn't being a snuggle bug he is trying to play with his brothers. Colt is a certified Therapy dog with the Animal Rescue League of Iowa. He is an obedient dog with a gentle nature. When I got Colt he was very skittish and unsocialized, he has since blossomed into the best boy, always getting compliments for just existing. I work as a Nurse manager at a long term care center and Colty comes to work with me often. The residents adore him and he loves the attention. I grew up on a small family farm south of Iowa City. We have had many dogs, cats and livestock over the years. In high school, I worked at a vet clinic caring for various species and temperaments. Animals of all kinds have always been a part of my life I currently work as a Director of a nursing at a local care facility. I love the versatility of they profession. My work includes leveraging my clinical expertise to create a personalized and enriching care environment, focused on improving the physical and mental health of the residents. My husband James, also works in health care, he frequently helps with our Rover guests.
