I have been working with animals all my life. Growing up, I helped my aunt run a thriving wildlife rehabilitation centre. Passionate about domestic animals, I went on to work as a vet assistant, have worked in pet stores and animal shelters and started a dog walking and pet sitting company. My partner and I are foster with a local small dog rescue, and adore helping connect dogs with their forever homes. When our home is foster-free, we board dogs. I treat every pet like my own and take the time to get to know their unique personality. This allows me to tailor a custom plan, filled with enrichment activities that will keep your trusted companions safe, happy and engaged.

Ali has been wonderful with our senior dog.
Ali was GREAT. It was important to me to leave our baby with someone I could trust and she immediately made me and Yami feel comfortable. My Black cat walked right up to her and greeted her. She sent pictures which made us feel close to him. He seemed happy when we got home (though of course he was a bit upset we left at all). Ali is awesome, you should book with her! Highly recommend.
Ali was perfectly on time and stayed the whole half hour and went out of her way to pet our cat and make him feel loved :)
Ali is the best - she is a great caregiver and super responsible and communicative. Our dog loves her time with Ali and gets great love and exercise. Highly recommend!

I ONLY ACCEPT DOGS WITH UP-TO-DATE VACCINATIONS. Proof of Vx may be required. I am unable to host highly reactive dogs in my home - it wouldn't be fair to the other dogs in the building. SERVICE DESCRIPTIONS: DROP-IN VISITS (Canine) - Select this service when your dog requires a bathroom break, and to top-up water/food. This service is NOT intended for folks traveling out of town. I'm not comfortable leaving dogs unattended for extended periods of time while owners are away. Please select BOARDING if you are away. DROP-IN VISITS (Feline): Includes feeding, refreshing water, and scooping litter box. BOARDING - Your pet comes to stay at my place while you are away. Included in this rate are walks/bathroom breaks, feeding, and basic grooming (baths in the event of muddy weather). DOG WALKING - I offer 30 min. - 1 hour walks based on your dog's needs. I provide attentive care to keep your pets safe and happy. From working with rescues, reading body language is essential to understanding the emotional state of an animal. It's all about keeping your pet feeling safe and having a positive experience! Please note that I personally do not drive, and access my clients on foot or via transit. My partner owns a vehicle, and I've been known to enlist his 'critter cab' services from time to time. ;) We practice safe transportation, and clip dogs in.

Let me know if your pet has any special needs: allergies, medications, medical history or behaviors that require accommodation. We'll come up with a plan that will ensure your pet's safety. I love working with all breeds and ages, but I'm particularly fond of senior pets. While I have experience working with reactive dogs, I would greatly appreciate this information being disclosed to me ahead of time. My building is very dog friendly, and as such, is not a suitable environment for large, reactive dogs.
A typical day
I love to mentally stimulate your dog(s) and provide an appropriate level of physical activity, depending on age/activity level and any medical concerns. We'll play a bunch of games, check out all of the smells in the neighborhood, and explore local parks/green spaces. The nearby Don River Valley and Brickworks offer some awesome trails to go and explore!

Availability
I'm currently working part-time, which allows me the flexibility to make lots of time for pet pals. My partner works from home, and keeps an eye on the critters in the event I'm out with other clients. Together we've rescued, fostered and cared for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Any animal that enters our care is treated with love and kindness. When we don't have fosters at home, we offer boarding (for select clients and in certain circumstances, I will consider staying in your home). Please contact me to learn more! Please note: our apartment is on the second floor and has no elevator. It is not suitable for large breed, senior dogs that cannot climb stairs.
